Philippines OKs Tindalo

The Philippine government has given the go-ahead for development of the Tindalo oil field in shallow-water Block SC 54A (IOD May18,p7). Joint venture partners Nido Petroleum and Kairiki Energy said Monday that the project has received all major approvals from Manila and first oil is now scheduled for the second quarter of next year. Nido is operator with 50% while Kairiki has 35%; the remaining 15% is held by Trafigura.
