Tullow Oil has failed to find oil or gas with its latest exploration well offshore Ghana, where the first deepwater production is due to flow from the Jubilee field before year end. The setback at the high-profile Onyina-1 well is a fresh blow for the Africa-focused explorer, which is also embroiled in a tax dispute in Uganda and a legal battle to block the reallocation of two exploration blocks in Congo-Kinshasa to other companies (IOD Sep.23,p1).
