Oman awarded a contract to Harvest Natural Resources on Saturday for exploration of gas on Block 64 in the Al Ghubair/Qarn Alam region. The block was one of two that were carved out of state Petroleum Development Oman's giant Block 6 and went on offer in early 2008 (IOD Mar.4,p7).
