Russian LNG Set for Launch

Sakhalin Energy, operator of the Gazprom-controlled Sakhalin-2 project on the Russian Pacific shelf, is counting down to the launch of Russian LNG production. Exports could start as soon as next month.Sakhalin Energy said Thursday that it has begun production from the first offshore gas platform in the Lunskoye field. Gas is being produced from the first two wells, completed last month, with output ramping up gradually.
