Nymex Oil Gains on Short-Covering, While Other Contracts Fall

Oil traded lower on Tuesday on dismal economic news and an easing of geopolitical tensions. March Brent on ICE Futures fell 88￠ to $43.62 per barrel.The expiring February Nymex crude contract climbed, but all other Nymex crude contracts out through February 2010 sustained losses, mostly in the $3 range.
