Uzbekistan plans to expand its underground gas storage facilities to allow it to extract more gas at times of peak demand. State Uzbekneftegas says it will build a 6 Bcm storage facility in the Gazli field in the Bukhara region in 2010-11, spending around $200 million. A feasibility study should be completed by the end of the year.
