OSCILLATING LUMINESCENCE IN THE BELOUSOV-ZHABOTINSKY REACTION CATALYZED BY RU(BPY)(3)(2+)

摘要

Oscillations in the Ru(bpy)(3)(2+) catalyzed Belousov-Zhabotinsky reaction were followed by monitoring the absorbance, photo-and chemiluminescence intensity, lifetime of the luminescent excited state, and bromide concentration. The formation of a species (most probably Br-2) which quenches the *Ru(bpy)(3)(2)+ luminescence is followed. [References: 21]
