Japanese oil product stocks rose by over 2% to 77.82 million bbl in the week ending Aug. 21, according to data released Wednesday by the Petroleum Association of Japan (PAJ). Significant additions came from fuel oil while naphtha continued its decline from the previous week. Refinery runs fell to 3.75 million b/d, or 80.9% of capacity, versus 3.77 million b/d, or 81.4% of capacity, the previous week. Crude oil stocks increased 5.03 million bbl to 99.46 million bbl.
