Each is searching for gas to feed Australian LNG projects in the other's backyard, but US Chevron and Australian Woodside say they have no intention of cooperating. Woodside's Pluto LNG and Chevron's Wheatstone LNG are both planned as multitrain projects. The two companies - which are partners in a third gas project, the Chevron-operated Browse LNG - are each building liquefaction facilities hundreds of kilometers apart, though the offshore fields providing the feed gas are practically adjacent.
