The US has grave concerns about the fu- ture stability of Nigeria, its largest source of African crude imports, the latest leak of US diplomatic cables shows. With militant gangs regularly disrupt- ing onshore oil production by interna- tional oil companies (IOCs), the US dis- patches from Lagos also capture the fear of IOCs that Nigeria's proposed oil-sector reforms will make it uneconomic for them to develop reserves.
