Kazmunaigas (KMG) hopes to finalize its acquisition of Kazakh independent producer Mangistaumunaigas as early as next month, a top official said, while the state is seeking a partner at its newly acquired Pavlodar refinery. "The deal on Mangistaumunaigas will be concluded in October 2009. This is a large deal and so is the subject of scrutiny from the tax and judicial bodies," Timur Kulibayev, deputy chairman of sovereign wealth fund Samruk-Kazyna, which owns 100% of KMG, was quoted as saying by local media.
