摘要

Polish state gas firm PGNiG said last week it would cut gas tariffs for local con- sumers, reflecting the benefits of a new gas deal with Russia. PGNiG said in a statement that it will cut prices by 3.2% from Jan. 1 because of lower prices for Russian gas im- ports. Overall, customers will pay 2.3% less, as distribution fees remain unchanged. The new price, approved by the energy regula- tor, will be valid through the end of March, it said without disclosing figures. Under a long-delayed agreement inked in October in place of a draft deal blocked by the Euro- pean Commission, PGNiG said it won a 15% discount on its take-or-pay contract with Russia's Gazprom.
