An experimental solar-powered aircraft launched on Wednesday landed safely in Switzerland Thursday morning after flying through the night. The aircraft used super-efficient solar cells and batteries to stay in the air after the sun went down. The plane was in the air for a total of 26 hours and reached a height of 8,700 meters - the longest and highest flight recorded by a solar-powered plane.
