Spain is considering yet another cut in subsidies for the country's huge solar photovoltaic (PV) industry in a move to reduce public support for a business that many believe gets too much government money.Madrid is mulling the 20%-25% cut in a bid to reduce subsidies that Citibank indicates were a ?1.7 billion ($2.3 billion) drain on the public purse in 2009. In a research note, the bank said it reckons the "total amount of premiums paid to Spanish renewables was ?5.2 billion.
