PTT FLNG Needs More Gas

Thai state PTT Exploration and Production (PTTEP) needs to prove up more gas reserves to feed a proposed floating LNG project (FLNG) being developed jointly with Norway's Golar LNG (IOD Jul.10,p7). The duo plans to develop the Cash and Maple gas field in the Timor Sea as well as associated gas from the Montara oil complex for the project, a PTTEP spokeswoman told International Oil Daily. These are part of the clutch of Australian assets PTTEP acquired when it bought minnow Coogee Resources for $170 million late last year.
