Korea National Oil Corp. (KNOC) is appealing to the Nigerian government in the hope of reversing an earlier decision to withdraw its exploration rights to deepwater Blocks OPL 321 and OPL 323."We are trying a lot of methods to appeal to the government," a KNOC spokesman told International Oil Daily, but he could not be more specific. The Korean investors previously suggested that taking legal action was one option, but the KNOC spokesman says he had not heard that this was now under consideration.
