UK-listed Gulf Keystone, with assets in Algeria and the Kurdistan region of northern Iraq, on Wednesday reported a net loss of $59.3 million for 2008, after losing $29.9 million in 2007. Part of the dip was down to a $37.2 million impairment charge - against $20.6 million in 2007 - incurred in Algeria for relinquishing one block and doing no drilling at another.
