Two Good Months for Norway

Norwegian oil production did better than expected in October and increased again in November, according to data from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD). Crude oil output in October topped 2 million b/d for the first time since July and the second since March. It increased by 143,000 b/d from September, besting NPD's preliminary estimate by 55,000 b/d. Preliminary estimates for November indicate crude output grew by another 55,000 b/d, and condensate and natural gas liquids by slightly less. Liquids from Statoil's Barents Sea Snohvit LNG project were absent again as the field has remained shuttered since early August.
