The UK's BG has announced the start-up of its Hasdrubal gas field off Tunisia, four months after it initially expected first gas to flow. BG Chief Executive Frank Chapman said in October the delay was down to commissioning problems at the onshore plant, and predicted the field would come on stream on Nov. 30 (IOD Oct.29,p1). Investment bank Citigroup said in a note to clients that the start-up should remove one of the overhangs to BG's share performance.
