Japan Slaps Tougher Sanctions on Iran

Japan on Friday unveiled additional sanctions on Iran that ban new energy-related investments and bar trade with more than 100 Iranian businesses and banks. But the moves - which follow tougher action by the US and European Union - will not affect Iranian oil purchases by Japan, a major buyer of Iranian crude.
