The UK's Heritage Oil reiterated Tuesday that it expects its merger with Turkish Genel Enerji to go ahead by the end of the year, and said drilling of the Miran West-2 appraisal well, just north of the Miran West-1 discovery in the Kurdish region of northern Iraq, will start later this month. It added that exploration drilling on Miran East is planned for 2010.
