Top private Russian producer Lukoil has completed the euro 1.45 billion (1.83 billion) purchase of a 49% stake in Italian Erg's Isab refinery in Sicily, this week paying the second tranche of over euro 850 million for the plant.Lukoil paid the first euro 600 million tranche (760 million) at the start of December and had until September to pay the balance of the deal. Because of the early payment, Lukoil would receive a euro 15 million discount if it decides to carry through with the purchase of the remaining 51% stake in the Sicilian plant in the coming years.
