Nippon Oil Mulls More Run Cuts

Japanese refiner Nippon Oil may bring forward and extend a planned shutdown of a crude distillation unit (CDU) to cope with declining domestic demand, a spokesman said Monday. Originally scheduled for a onemonth shutdown in October, the 110,000 b/d CDU in Mizushima could be shut in July for four months until November. A decision will be made Monday, the spokesman said. Nippon Oil has another 140,000 b/d CDU at Mizushima.
