Italian power giant Enel said it expects to raise ?10 billion ($12.8 billion) from non-strategic asset disposals between now and 2010, all to be used for debt reduction, as economic slowdown dogs its home market.Disposal of its remaining ?1.15 billion worth of high-voltage Italian grid assets to Terna is due for completion by April, while binding offers from two firms for Enel's low-pressure gas network have been received. Options for selling a minority stake in renewable subsidiary Enel Green Power dur-ing 2009 are also being reviewed. Overall these transactions amount to ?6 billion. A further ?4 billion of identified but unpublished nonstrategic asset disposals are scheduled between 2009 and 2010.
