Pertamina Eyes Ecuador

Indonesia's Pertamina has inked a deal with Petroecuador subsidiary Petroproduccion for joint studies of upstream opportunities in Ecuador. The two state firms will reportedly look at possible exploration and production ventures in the southeastern Amazon region. The Indonesian company signed a deal to explore three blocks in Ecuador, Guanta- Duento, Dureno and Lago Agrio, in 2007.
