Petral Rises to Top in Indonesian Oil Trading Shakeup

Indonesian oil trading is going through another upheaval as the trading subsidiary of state Pertamina, Petral, takes over sales and purchases of crude oil and products from another Pertamina unit set up less than six months ago. Traders said Friday that a Pertamina tender to buy gasoline for third-quarter delivery is now being managed by Petral, with the Singapore-based unit also responsible for sales of jet fuel from Pertamina's Dumai, Cilacap and Balikpapan refineries to Singapore between June and August.
