Taiwan's oil products consumption slipped 0.5% to 882,600 b/d in July from a year earlier, according to Energy Bureau data. Fuel oil demand continued to take the worst beating from slowing industrial growth, down 22.8% to 116,300 b/d. Demand for naphtha fell by 9% to 316,900 b/d and for jet fuel by 7.4% to 36,500 b/d. But gasoline demand rose by 22.6% to 158,700 b/d, while gas oil consumption was up 34.9% to 106,000 b/d. Kerosene demand increased from 116 b/d to 164 b/d.
