Italy's Eni has cut its 2009 interim dividend by 23% after net profit for the second quarter plummeted by 76%, the company said Friday. The group's results mirrored those of the other European and US majors in suffering from a sharp fall in crude oil prices. Average output declined marginally to 1.733 million barrels of oil equivalent per day during the quarter.
