Mitsui Oil Exploration aims to boost upstream production by 50% to 150,000 boe/d by 2013 by focusing on Vietnam and Cambodia. The company said it would drill a test well next year at Block A, offshore Cambodia, where it owns a 30% interest with operator Chevron (55%) and GS Caltex (15%). If sufficient oil and gas deposits are found, Mitsui will make a development plan aiming to start production in 2012-13.
