Greenland: Noreco Pre-Qualified

Norwegian independent Noreco said it has been pre-qualified as an exploration operator for the Greenland 2010 Baffin Bay Licensing Round; UK-based Faroe Petroleum earlier said it too had pre-qualified. The 2010 Baffin Bay Licensing Round covers about 151,000 sq.km offshore northwest Greenland, split into 14 blocks of between 8,000 sq. km and 15,000 sq.km; 13 oil firms applied for pre-qualification.
