Japanese product stocks dropped by 3.7% to 84.54 million bbl in the week ended Jan. 17, according to data released by the Petroleum Association of Japan on Wednesday.Naphtha fell most, down by 10.3% to 11.29 million bbl, followed by an 8.6% decline in kerosene stocks to 15.98 million bbl. Jet fuel inventories slid 3% to 5.38 million bbl. Only inventories of gasoline and gas oil rose. Gasoline was up by 1.2% at 13.24 million bbl and gas oil by 0.4% at 13.77 million bbl.
