Soco to Start Vietnam Appraisal

UK-listed independent Soco said this week it has received the green light from state Petrovietnam to appraise two areas in Block 16-1.The first area, Te Giac Den (TGD), contains the Te Giac Den 1X-ST1 discovery well on prospect E, and the analogous E South prospect (IOD Aug.29,p8). It lies in the south of the Te Giac Trang field, where development has already started. The second appraisal area, Voi Trang, is home to the Voi Trang discovery and several adjacent leads.
