Zeromax Makes Gas Find

Switzerland-registered Zeromax said it has found commercial quantities of gas in the Shimoliy Girsan deposit in Uzbekistan's Bukhara-Khiva Basin. Appraisal well No. 1 in the area flowed gas and condensate at rates of 632 Mcm per day and 26 tons per day, respectively, the company said. To improve the results and determine reserves, appraisal drilling of test wells No. 2 and No. 3 will be carried out by Zeromax subsidiary Uzgazoil through the end of the year. The assumptions indicate that results could mark the discovery of a new deposit, according to the statement.
