June Production, Exports Fall in Problem Filled Venezuela

Venezuela’s crude oil production slid by almost 150,000 barrels per day in June, continuing a general trend of decline over the past year, according to estimates based on audited trade data. Crude exports fell only slightly, however, as use in the domestic market dropped by over 120,000 b/d, while product imports rose slightly to 67,000 b/d to help meet domestic demand.
