Eni Strikes Indonesian Gas

Eni has said its Jangkrik-3 well in the Muara Bakau permit area offshore Borneo - the third well drilled there to date - has confirmed an “important” gas discovery with total “gas in place of more than 1.4 Tcf,” or around 250 million boe. The well was drilled in water depths of 416 meters (IOD Jun.25,p7). Further exploration is planned in nearby areas in 2011.
