Belarus Hunts for New Ways to Bring In Venezuelan Crude

Belarus is hunting for new ways of bringing in Venezuelan crude oil amid questions about the economics of the current arrangement, launched earlier this year as the country sought to cut its dependence on Russian oil. Belarus received its first Venezuelan cargo in April. Since then, most of the Venezuelan crude has been shipped to Ukraine’s Black Sea Odessa terminal, from where it is sent by rail to the big Mozyr refinery in Belarus.
