Finland's troubled 1.65 GW Olkiluoto nuclear power station probably won't be ready to start generating electricity until 2013, according to Finnish operator TVO. The plant has been plagued by cost overruns and delays: Original plans called for it to be operational in 2009. "There continues to be a delay in the instrumentation and control system and this may become critical for the plant time schedule," TVO said Friday. It has formally asked turnkey suppliers Areva and Siemens to "re-analyze the anticipated startup date."
