[{C7F15CO2}(2)AgAu(PPh3)](2) is obtained in good yield from the reaction of [C7F15CO2Ag] with [ClAuPPh3] in THF solution. The crystal structure shows a zig-zag Au-Ag-Ag-Au core with fluorocarboxylate ligands bridging the Au-Ag and Ag-Ag bonds and triphenylphosphine groups bound to Au. Electrodeposition from acetonitrile yields Au-Ag alloys. The deposited alloys are Ag rich and the composition varies with deposition potential.
