摘要

The syntheses of (porphinato)zinc(II)-spacer-(porphinato) chloride complexes were effected by the agency of Pd-catalyzed cross-coupling of two equivalents of [5-bromo-10,20-diphenyl-15-(4'-methoxyphenyl)porphinato]zinc with a symmetric bis(trimethyltin) derivative of a rigid organic spacer molecule, followed by a demetalation-remetalation reaction sequence. The approach described herein represents a new strategy for assembling porphyrin-based donor-spacer-acceptor compounds that is predicated on the modular syntheses of rigid donor, acceptor, and spacer molecules.
