Fred Basolo (1920–2007)

Fred Basolo, a world leader in inorganic chemistry, died on February 27, 2007 at the age of 87. He was Charles E. and Emma H. Morrison Professor of Chemistry Emeritus at Northwestern University, where he spent most of his career. He leaves four children and eleven grandchildren; his dear wife, Mary, died in 1997.
