An oxalato-bridged binuclear iron(III) compound, Fe-2(C2O4)Cl-4(DMF)(4) (DMF = dimethylformamide), was obtained by electrocrystallization for three weeks at 3.4 V and it displays a strong antiferromagnetic interaction of J = -6.74(4) cm(-1). (c) 2006 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
