INR aims to be a truly international journal.

The International Nursing Review (INR) is now in its 10th year as a peer-reviewed journal. This seems an appropriate time to tell readers about some aspects of the development of INR, the official journal of the International Council of Nurses (ICN).INR, of course, performs two important functions: It is one of the official sources of news from ICN, and it serves as a source of international articles on nursing research.INR's international distribution automatically reaches the 131 national nursing associations that are members of ICN. INR also reaches 2157 sites in 103 least and developing countries, and in Central and Eastern Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States, through its membership in the HINARI (Health Internetwork Access to Research Initiatives) or INASP (International Network for the Availability of Scientific Publications). Nurses in these countries can access the wide range of articles published in INR, providing that an Internet connection is available.
