Some problems of technical infrastructure in rural areas of Bulgaria and Poland during the integration with European Union.

Some problems of infrastructure development in rural areas have been studied and compared in Stara Zagora region in Bulgaria and Siedlce region in Poland. Data regarding the water line and sewerage systems as well as road network in 1989-98 were analysed. During recent decade after the political turning point in Eastern Europe, a lot of problems in the rural areas, connected with differences in quality and availability of the technical infrastructure in the regions, left. There are some serious regional differences in Poland, furnishing rural areas equipped with water supply networks with individual or collective sewerage systems. The development of technical infrastructure in rural areas of Bulgaria during transition period is behind those in Poland. Unsatisfactory situation of technical infrastructure in the two countries doesn't support adequately the development of the animal husbandry.
