Click polymerisation can produce exceptionally strong and rapid adhesive bonds between metals via the formation of hyperbranched polytriazoles in situ. Copper, which may be present in the metal, is an essential catalyst. Other applications include metal-glass bonding, conductive adhesives and anticorrosive coatings on alloys.
