Consistently Excellent Shot Blasting Results

In the plant belonging to the drill pipe division of NOV Tuboscope in the Scottish town of Aberdeen, a pipe blasting machine has been installed specifically to blast the outer surface of used drill pipes for the oil industry. After undergoing the blasting process in the machine supplied by Rump Strahlanlagen, the pipes, which have a thread at both ends, are inspected and approved for further use on drilling rigs in the North Sea. Between 5 and 10 Pipes (which are 5 to 15 metres in length and have an external diameter of 60 to 250 mm) are placed on the loading tables on each side of the inlet roller conveyor.
