EIA reports US gas storage build, pressuring futures

Washington-US natural gas storage inventories rose by 21 Bcf in the week ended April 10, lifting nationwide stocks to 1.695 Tcf, the Energy Information Administration reported April 16.The build was at the high end of consensus expectations and sent New York Mercantile Exchange May gas futures lower, with the contract settling down 9.4 cents at $3.599/MMBtu.
