摘要

It is known [1-3] that organosilanes are used to raise the level of interaction of non-polar rubbers and silica fillers (SFs). The grafting of these modifiers to the surface of filler particles results in the hydrophobisation of the filler, a reduction in the likelihood of formation of filler-filler bonds, and consequently an improvement in the dispersion of the filler in the rubber matrix. On the other hand, hydrophobisation of the polar filler makes it possible to reduce the adsorption of vulcanising group components by the surface of the filler particles and thereby to increase the vulcanisation rate. Besides this, the participation of crosslinking organosilanes in interactions with both filler and rubber ensures the formation of chemical bonds at the rubber-filler boundary. As a result, a considerable improvement is achieved in the mechanical properties of the rubbers, in particular an increase in their strength, tear resistance, and elasticity, a reduction in hysteresis losses, and so on.
