Thermal and rheological design of large moulds for injection moulding processes

摘要

The thermal and rheological behaviour of rubber compounds during the injection moulding process is explained and the consequences for the design of large moulds described. The definition ofa thermokinetic index (TKI) may be used to characterise the relevant process parameters for a part that is to undergo vulcanisation.
