An important problem to be tackled as part of the strategic priorities in the development of materials and processing technologies at VIAM is the creation of polymers and composites with improved functional properties [1-6]. In recent years, increasing use has been made of a new class of polymers-thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs), which among other things are intended partially to replace rubber compounds. Seals for the units of pneumatic, hydraulic, and fuel systems, electric cable sheaths, and vibration-absorbing and other parts are manufactured from TPEs. Increase in the demand for the given materials is due to their high processing and service characteristics [3, 7-9]. By comparison with the rubber compounds used at present, they have a shorter manufacturing and processing cycle. They are generally characterised by lower density, and they normally possess fairly high weather and cold resistance, and some types are resistant to swelling in corrosive media, and can be given any colour using pigments or dye superconcentrates [3, 7-10].
