The influence of the molecular weights and viscosity of solution-polymerised styrene butadiene rubber on the properties of rubber mixes and silica-filled vulcanisates

In the past 20-25 years, a great deal of attention has been paid to the problem of developing ecologically safe, so-alled "green" tyres. The concept of green tyre development envisages an improvement both in working conditions and in the output characteristics of the tyres. Above all, this involves a reduction in rolling losses with the aim of reducing fuel consumption and harmful emissions into the atmosphere, and also improving the traction and holding properties and wear resistance of the tyres.
